OrbMesh Network
OrbMesh Network
OrbVPN's server layer engineered for the hardest networks on Earth. OrbMesh powers protocol mimicry, Bridge Mode multi-hop routing, Static IP addresses, Port Forwarding, and SmartDNS, so you stay connected where ordinary VPNs are blocked.
What is OrbMesh?
OrbMesh is the protocol and server layer beneath OrbVPN, purpose-built for censorship circumvention in the world's most restrictive networks. Where a typical VPN simply forwards your traffic, OrbMesh disguises it. Every OrbMesh server runs protocol mimicry that makes your encrypted tunnel look like ordinary Microsoft Teams, Google Workspace, or banking traffic, so deep packet inspection (DPI) systems in Iran, Russia, and China cannot identify and block it.
On top of that obfuscation core, OrbMesh delivers four powerful capabilities that go far beyond a basic VPN: Bridge Mode routes you through a domestic entry server to a foreign exit when international connections are blocked outright; Static IP gives you a dedicated, unchanging public address; Port Forwarding lets you reach devices behind your VPN from anywhere; and SmartDNS unblocks streaming and home-country services with zero speed penalty.
DPI-Resistant by Design
Every OrbMesh server wraps your traffic in protocol mimicry, imitating the TLS and header patterns of major services so censors cannot fingerprint and block it.
End-to-End Encryption
Connections use modern, post-quantum-ready cryptography. No intermediary, including OrbVPN, can read the data passing through the network.
Multi-Hop Bridge Mode
When direct international links are severed, OrbMesh chains a domestic entry server to a foreign exit, keeping you online through total blackouts.
Key Capabilities
OrbMesh goes far beyond a single VPN tunnel, giving you tools normally reserved for self-hosted servers and enterprise networks.
Bridge Mode
Multi-hop routing through a domestic entry server to a foreign exit. Survives full international VPN blocks in Iran, Russia, and China.
Static IP
A dedicated, unchanging public IP address from OrbVPN's Azure pools, with 1:1 NAT so traffic always carries your fixed address.
Port Forwarding
Open ports on your Static IP to reach a home server, NAS, or game host from anywhere, securely through the VPN tunnel.
SmartDNS
Unblock streaming and home-country services with selective DNS routing and no full-tunnel speed penalty.
Private Networking
Alongside its censorship-circumvention core, OrbMesh lets you link your own devices into a secure private network for remote access, file sharing, and home-lab connectivity. Devices pair using QR codes or automatic mDNS discovery on the local network.
Private Network
Your personal mesh. Connect your own devices securely for remote access, file sharing, and private communication.
Team Network
Organization-level networks for businesses and teams. Manage access, set policies, and enable secure collaboration.
Device Pairing
Add devices instantly with a QR code or via automatic mDNS discovery when devices share the same Wi-Fi or Ethernet network.
Roadmap: Decentralized Community Mesh
OrbVPN is building toward a fully decentralized community mesh where participants run OrbMesh nodes, contribute bandwidth and computing resources, and earn ORB token rewards, turning OrbMesh into a community-powered data layer. That vision is on the roadmap; the capabilities documented here, Bridge Mode, Static IP, Port Forwarding, SmartDNS, mimicry, and private device networking, are live today.
Where to Start
Activate Bridge Mode
If direct international connections are blocked in your region, enable Bridge Mode to route through a domestic entry server to a foreign exit.
Add a Static IP
Purchase a Static IP add-on to receive a dedicated, unchanging public address in your chosen region, backed by 1:1 NAT.
Forward Ports
Open ports on your Static IP to reach a home server, NAS, security camera, or game host from anywhere, securely through the VPN.
Unblock with SmartDNS
Use SmartDNS to stream foreign and home-country content at full speed, without routing every byte through the VPN tunnel.
How OrbMesh Works
OrbMesh combines several technologies to stay reachable in hostile network conditions.
Protocol Mimicry
Servers disguise tunnels as Microsoft Teams, Google Workspace, Shaparak banking, DNS-over-HTTPS, Zoom, and more, so DPI systems see ordinary, allowed traffic.
Multi-Protocol Core
Each server speaks WireGuard, VLESS (with Reality/XTLS), and OrbConnect, letting Smart Connect pick whatever transport survives in your network right now.
Bridge Routing
Bridge Mode registers a session on the entry server, then chains your tunnel to a foreign exit server, keeping you online when direct foreign links are severed.
NAT & Forwarding
The Static IP layer programs 1:1 SNAT/DNAT and port-forwarding rules on the server, mapping your VPN address to a fixed public IP and opening the ports you choose.
Pro Tip
In heavily filtered regions, leave protocol selection on Auto (Smart Connect). It races OrbMesh's protocols, transports, and mimicry profiles, verifies that real traffic flows and your public IP actually changes, and avoids dead transports such as UDP black-holes during internet shutdowns.
Built for the Hardest Networks
OrbMesh keeps you connected where ordinary VPNs fail, with mimicry, multi-hop bridges, static addresses, and port forwarding in one layer.
